Device Refurbishment Support Fund
Summary
The Device Refurbishment Support Fund seeks to increase the number of free devices available by building the capacity of voluntary and community sector organisations that have an established programme of collecting, refurbishing and distributing pre-loved devices.
The Fund will support three key areas of activity:
- Promotion of the potential of refurbishing devices above and beyond the work normally carried out.
- Refurbishing additional devices so that they are safe and ready for a new owner to use.
- Ensuring safe distribution of additional devices to those who are unable to afford a device.
They are particularly interested in supporting groups that have a good track record of working with their local community, and that have been able to develop new service delivery plans in light of the challenges posed by COVID-19 restrictions
