Heritage Fund: Digital Skills for Heritage
The Digital Skills for Heritage initiative is designed to raise digital skills and confidence across the whole UK heritage sector. This new funding programme is now available to help UK organisations or partnerships establish new digital volunteering opportunities across the sector.
They are looking for organisations who want to create and establish new digital volunteering opportunities and roles. Roles should focus on:
- digital activities or
- activities that can be carried out at distance or
- both of these
Successful projects will create new opportunities for people to benefit from volunteering to support heritage and rgants will help organisations to develop their own expertise in relation to recruiting and working with digital volunteers.

Who can apply
You can apply if you are a not-for-profit organisation working in relation to heritage, or a partnership led by a not-for-profit organisation working in relation to heritage.
When to apply
The deadline for project enquiry forms was 12 noon on 16 August 2021. The deadline for a full application is 27 September 2021. All project must submit a project enquiry form in order to submit a full application.

How to apply
There is a two stage application process. Stage one is to submit a Project Enquiry Form online via the funder website, using the hashtag #Digital8 at the start of your project title. Stage two is a full application, also submitted online.See the funder website for details on how to apply.
