Foundation Scotland - Blackford Community Fund

Summary

Blackford Community Fund is a charitable fund to benefit residents of Blackford in Perth & Kinross. The Fund has been created with a donation by Ochil Developments and money generated from the EDF Burnfoot Hill Wind Farm. The Fund is intended to be a lasting resource for the community of Blackford and it aims to:

  • Promote community spirit and bring people together.
  • Enhance quality of life and promote people’s well-being.
  • Foster a vibrant, sustainable community

Applications that will benefit older residents of the community are particularly welcome.

Who can apply

In order to apply, your group must be set up on a not-for-profit basis, although you don’t need to be a registered charity to apply. Non constituted groups may apply for smaller grants of up to £500. Groups applying for more than £500 must have a constitution (governing document or set of rules).

When to apply

The Panel meets twice each year. 2024 deadlines are:

  • 5 April 2024 (for decisions mid-May)
  • 30 August 2024 (for decisions mid-October 2024)

Apply online via the Foundation Scotland website. Those wishing to apply for more than £1,500 are advised to call the Community Funds Adviser to discuss their application before submitting.
