Kintore Charitable Trust
Details
The Kintore Charitable Trust was established under a Deed of Trust by the late 12th Earl of Kintore in 1984. The Trustees favour community causes in the counties of Aberdeenshire and Kincardineshire. They also consider causes involving young people, the relief of poverty or the environment in those counties. The Trustees consider a small number of applications each year in aid of medical health charities.
The Trusts' priorities are:
- The advancement of citizenship or community development: the Trustees consider applications from community groups, working for the benefit of their local area and for the people who reside there. Charities which assist the elderly, promote opportunities for young people or conserve the environment are given particular consideration.
- The advancement of the arts, culture and heritage: the Trustees occasionally make a small number of grants available for arts projects.
- The advancement of health: the Trustees consider a limited number of grants in the advancement of health (including medical research) in any one year.
