Details
The Trust has supported Lifeboat Services, the welfare of ex-servicemen and the needs of the homeless amongst others, and welcomes applications from organisations and individuals in the following areas:
- the saving of lives
- the advancement of the arts, heritage, culture or science
- the relief of those in need by reason of age, ill health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage
- the prevention or relief of poverty
- the advancement of animal welfare.
The Trust has a preference to give to charitable organisations operating in Scotland.

Charities registered in the UK but there is a preference for charities registered in Scotland.

Trustees normally meet once per year in the autumn.
