EST is a non-profit organisation that promotes energy saving, funded by government and the private sector. Set up by the UK Government in 1993 after the 1992 Rio Earth Summit, their main goals are to achieve the sustainable use of energy and cut carbon dioxide emissions, one of the key contributors to climate change.

Provides grants to charities and community energy groups that support households most at risk from cold homes and high energy bills.

Low Carbon Transport Business Loan
Interest free loans are available to Scottish businesses to help lower their transport and travel costs. These loans are funded by Transport Scotland and have a repayment term of up to 6 years.
Energy Saving Trust - Scottish Zero Emission Bus Challenge Fund
Funding for innovative business models designed to help the bus sector adopt zero-emission buses along with charging or refuelling infrastructure.
Energy Saving Trust Foundation - Youth Climate Action Fund
Funding for youth-led projects in Scotland focused on climate action. In particular, the fund aims to support organisations working with young people experiencing inequality.
EST - Plugged-in Communities Grant Fund
The Plugged in Communities Grant Fund supports community transport operators in Scotland to purchase or lease zero emission community transport vehicles.
