For help and support with funding and fundraising, check out our Funding Guide.
Help using Funding Scotland
If at any point you need help whilst using the website, try selecting the Help button in the top right of each page containing fund search functions.
The main search bar will look for the keywords you use anywhere in the funding information, and will return funds in order of relevance. To refine the results we recommend you also use the filters:
- For Geographic area choose the areas that the work will take place in e.g. Fife, Scotland, and the UK. If you only want local funders then choose your council area only.
- Beneficiaries are the people or things that will benefit from the work you do.
- Activities are the type of work you do, such as advocacy or health and social care.
- Type of cost relates to what you will use the money for. For project costs choose revenue and for building costs or equipment choose capital.
Funding Scotland only lists funders that support organisations or activities in Scotland. If your activity or organisation is based elsewhere in the UK then try My Funding Central for England, Funding Wales for Wales, and GrantTracker for Northern Ireland.
Funding Scotland does not include funding opportunities for individuals or private businesses. Individuals can find support at Turn2us or Citizens Advice Scotland. Businesses can find support at FindBusinessSupport
With our SCVO membership package, you can get access to more information about each fund e.g. maximum award amounts, applicant success rate and fund exclusions, and additional features e.g. saved searches and personalised email alerts to make it easier to manage your results

If you spot something wrong, you can use the Report Inaccuracy link on the fund information page and we'll sort it out.
You can sign up for the weekly news bulletin here. SCVO Members can also subscribe to personalised email alerts. Find out more about exclusive member features.
Funding Scotland bulletins are sent out weekly on a Tuesday morning, so if you've signed up later in the week, you'll receive a bulletin the following Tuesday. If you're an SCVO member, you can customise the days you receive the bulletins in your My SCVO account.
Check your junk mail to see if the emails are going in that folder.
If you have an IT team, check with them to see if the email is being blocked by your server – ask them to search for mail.funding.scot
If you are still not receiving a bulletin, please get in touch with us.
You should check the How to Apply section for each fund and apply directly to the funder. Some will have their own website whilst others accept applications via email/post. Please do not send applications to SCVO as we do not accept applications for funding.
