Summary

The primary aim of the Apprenticeship Grant scheme is to encourage local economic and business growth by providing training opportunities for young people aged 16 to 24.

The aim of the scheme is to assist local businesses development and employment opportunities as well as encouraging the retention of young people in our communities. It will support employing a modern apprentice aged 16 – 24 to achieve a nationally recognised/ industry standard qualification to, at least, SVQ level 3. The fund is supported by the SSE Bhlaraidh Wind Farm.

Who can apply

The scheme is open to businesses and social enterprises largely based in or serving Glen Urquhart or Strathglass and the apprentice must also reside in either Glen Urquhart or Strathglass.

When to apply

The scheme is open twice a year. The last deadline was 23 October 2023.
