The Foundation is funded by Leeds Building Society and its members. Their small grants provide funding to projects that support those in need of a safe and secure home. Your project must meet one or more of their funding themes:
- Health and wellbeing support for those experiencing homelessness
- Quality and adequacy of housing
- Financial stress
- Security and refuge
They focus on people who either live or work in the areas served by the Society's branches which are located throughout the UK. In Scotland they have branches in Aberdeen, Edinburgh and Glasgow.

Who can apply
For Small Grants you must be a registered charity with a turnover of less than £1 million. Their large grants scheme is only open to organisations based in or delivering work in Yorkshire and/or the North East of England.

When to apply
Small grants: apply now. The Trustees meet every quarter, and your application will be considered at the next scheduled meeting.
If your application is successful, you’ll be contacted within eight weeks after the meeting date.
