The Tree Council - Branching Out Fund
Details
The Tree Council has funds available to assist schools and community groups proposing to undertake well-planned tree planting projects during National Tree Week. They can fund trees, hedges and orchard trees and reasonable costs of supports and aids – stakes, ties, guards, fertiliser, mulch, soil amelioration.

Who can apply
- Schools, colleges or universities
- Constituted community groups
- Childcare nurseries or care homes - charity or community funded
- Tenants and residents associations
- Parish / town councils / community councils
- Tree Warden Networks (preference given to a Tree Council member network)
- Community interest companies (limited by guarantee)
- Small registered charities
All applicants must:
- be UK based
- hold public liability insurance for planting - if this poses difficulties, please get in touch
- have written permission to plant on the site(s)
- have a bank account (not a personal account) to receive grant payments

The grant may close earlier if the funding runs out.
