Movement for Good awards are available to charities that are changing people’s lives for the better. The public can nominate a charity they would like to see receive the money and competition winners will then be drawn at random.

They have supported a range of causes, from funding heat pads to keep hedgehogs warm to helping a telephone befriending service for isolated carers.

Who can apply

Charities registered in the UK and Republic of Ireland with an income of less than £5 million.

Maximum annual income:
£5,000,000

When to apply

Nominations can be made at any time until 19 December 2024.

There will be five special draws throughout 2024 with 10 awards of £5,000 in each draw:

  • Animals: 19 - 23 February 2024
  • Health: 22 - 26 April 2024
  • Youth: 17 - 21 June 2024
  • Environment: 12 - 16 August 2024
  • Arts & Culture: 7 - 11 October 2024

From 5th December 2024, you can also nominate a charity in the £1,000 draw.

How to apply

Submit the nomination form on the Movement for Good website. The more nominations a charity receives the greater the chance of them winning.

Winners are chosen at random and nominations will remain open until midnight the day before each draw.
