The Cruach Trust

The Cruach Trust is a small Scottish charity, which provides financial support for gardeners, retired gardeners and for preserving gardens throughout the United Kingdom. The trustees also have discretion to make donations to a wide range of organisations in the UK and abroad.
Examples of grants are:
- Supporting a horticultural apprenticeship, arranged through the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh.
- Grants for gardens, wildlife and the natural environment.
- Grants for organisations working with children, young carers, the elderly, vulnerable and homeless.
- Grants for music, the arts and cultural charities.
- Grants for medical research and support.

Who can apply
Registered or recognised charities, societies, trusts or other bodies.
The Cruach Trust will only consider applications from Scottish organisations with an income of less than £100,000.

When to apply
The trustees meet annually, in September, to consider applications and make awards. The 2024 deadline is now passed.
