Details
Dumfries and Galloway Regionwide Coastal Benefit Fund has been established to deliver direct benefit to coastal communities across Dumfries and Galloway. Grants will be for new projects with can demonstrate tangible benefits to coastal communities.
The key areas for the fund are:
- Environmental enhancement
- Emissions reduction or removal of waste
- Jobs
- Tourism
- Skills development
- Diversification projects
- Investment for community purpose
- Climate change adaptation
There are two funding streams available:
- Small: Community led projects for third sector organisations
- Large: Community led projects for third sector organisations
Applications must be for projects which can start within 3 months of an award notice from the Coastal Benefit Fund (by 1 August 2025) and be concluded by 31 March 2026.

Who can apply
Third Sector organisations/community groups require to have a constitution and appropriate governance and financial arrangements in place, proportionate to the value of the application. Projects must directly benefit coastal communities.

Apply now. Closes at 12 noon on Friday 28 March 2025.
