Arnold Clark Community Fund
Details
The Arnold Clark Community Fund helps registered UK charities and community groups close to Arnold Clark branches build stronger communities across the UK. They have several programmes:
- Cost of Living Support: available to organisations whose work directly supports those most affected by the cost-of-living crisis, such as foodbanks, toy banks, accommodation or poverty relief, and any other eligible organisation where people/communities in the UK are the primary and immediate focus of investment.
- Community Support: supporting local charities and organisations that provide important services, strengthen communities and help them build a better future, covering areas such as mental health, disability, equality and diversity, relief support, arts and culture, animal welfare, education, youth groups, community enhancement and sustainability.

Who can apply
Open to UK-registered charities, local community groups, community interest companies, charitable incorporated organisations, social enterprises and groups of organisations that are community or voluntary-led. Smaller voluntary and community groups supporting people most affected by the rising cost of living are especially encouraged. Applications are only eligible if they're made by an organisation that is based/operates solely in the UK and is located within 50 miles of an Arnold Clark branch.
When to apply
The fund's strands open at different times throughout the year, and funding opportunities are usually available on a monthly basis. Cost-of-Living Support runs as a summer appeal and a Christmas appeal and is currently open. Community Support (covering three categories of activity) and Gear Up For Sport are currently paused. Applicants are advised to apply as early as possible once a strand opens, as applications may close early due to high demand. Organisations that are successful in one category cannot apply for another category in the same calendar year.
How to apply
