South Lanarkshire Council - Enhanced Summer Provision Fund 2022
Summary
The Enhanced Summer Provision 2022 will help organisations and partnerships to provide easter activities and experiences (i.e. sport, art, music, outdoor learning, trips & visits, family days, health & nutrition and adventures) for children, young people and families during the summer school holidays any time between 27 June – 14 August 2022.
This provision is aimed at enhancing equity by widening opportunities for children from low-income families to play, socialise, get active and access a range of activities that broaden their experiences, supplement their learning, and deliver positive outcomes.
Programmes should provide:
- Opportunities to (re)connect with friends, peers, wider community and the outdoors, and trusted adults.
- Opportunities to play, be active and enjoy themselves. Such activities will provide key learning and help support children and young people return to school in the autumn by boosting wellbeing and confidence.
- Opportunities to access equitable activities to targeted families removing barriers to participation i.e. transport and entry fees.
- Consideration to wider needs, which may include the integration of food, childcare, financial inclusion, family support and referral on to wider services where needed.
