Glasgow Life - Sport and Physical Activity Fund
Details
The Sport and Physical Activity Fund supports voluntary sport organisations embedded in their community to increase participation in sport and physical activity, particularly in under-represented groups.
Funding is to establish new or enhance existing activities increasing the number of people being active in Glasgow. Grants can cover a range of costs including:
- Short Term Facility Hire Costs (recommended 6 weeks).
- Sports and Safety Equipment costs
- Coach Education and Volunteer training costs
- Marketing and Promotion (£250 max)
- Hardship Costs that remove barriers for underrepresented individuals.
- Delivery costs for a paid coach to set up activity (maximum 6 weeks).

Who can apply
Voluntary organisations who enable and support communities to get and stay active. Organisations must have their own bank account and be appropriately constituted.
When to apply
Apply at any time. They assess applications each month with the deadline for consideration the final day of the previous month. They encourage you to apply 6 weeks - 2 months prior to your project start date.
