Details

North Ayrshire’s 2030 Woodland Grant Fund has been developed to help deliver the Council’s Tree Planting Strategy, which aims to plant 108,000 trees across North Ayrshire by 2030. Funding will help to deliver tree planting and woodland creation activity at grass roots community level, by supporting new and developing tree planting projects.

Your project should also demonstrate how it aligns with the strategic outcomes of North Ayrshire’s 2030 Woodland: A Tree Planting Strategy, and will be assessed based on it's ability to have wider reaching and longer-term benefits, such as:

  • Community Food Growing (fruit trees)
  • Improved habitat creation, enhanced biodiversity and creation of new green corridors
  • Benefits to local wildlife
  • Woodland areas for health, wellbeing, recreation and physical activity opportunities
  • Sustainable Flood Risk Management
  • Regenerating and regreening an area
