Asda Foundation - Empowering Local Communities Grant

Details

Empowering Local Communities is an Asda Foundation grant for local groups aimed at supporting a broad range of activities which contribute towards transforming communities and improving lives, as well as funding to strengthen their volunteering.

There are four options to choose from under this grant. You must be clear from the outset which one you are applying for. It’s also possible to apply for a combination. The options are:

  • Food and Basic Essentials Funding for the essentials to address an immediate need and/or situation.

  • Items to Improve/Maintain a Service. Funding to transform and/or improve a space/activity. Funding also to be used to bring people together for ongoing services.

  • Volunteering. Funding to support Volunteer costs enabling them to continue supporting their groups and communities.

  • Community Events. Funding to host community events. Group applying for Community Event application can apply for this ONLY.

Who can apply

Groups must have an income under £1 million per year in order to apply for the grassroots grants. Asda Foundation aims to support and prioritise local grassroots groups with low income where funding will make a bigger difference.

The application window may close early if the total budget is reached.
