Projects must demonstrate clear, measurable environmental impact as a primary aim and must be community-led or evidence full support from local communities.

Projects should aim to deliver measurable and sustainable long-term results, build capacity and encourage participation by local communities.

Who can apply

Local non-profit organisations, associations, clubs or unions, social cooperative enterprises and/or other local bodies, including research centres. They can support projects throughout the Scottish highlands and islands.

When to apply

Currently closed for applications.

Applications are accepted in three periods per year. Applicants are encouraged to follow the funder's website and social media channels to stay informed about upcoming deadlines.

How to apply

Applicants are strongly encouraged to read the funder's eligibility and funding guidance before applying, and to contact the funder to discuss their proposal ahead of submission. Applications follow a two-stage process:

• applicants first submit an Expression of Interest form by the relevant deadline
• successful applicants are then invited to submit a more detailed full application
