The core objects of the Trust seek to provide lasting social benefit and rehabilitation for those disadvantaged by disability or ill health through sport. They support the encouragement of sporting activities in Scotland, with an emphasis on the disabled and those who have served in the United Kingdom armed forces or other public service bodies.
The Charitable purposes are to carry out activities and to award donations and grants in the furtherance of:
- The advancement of the arts, heritage, culture or science;
- The advancement of public participation in sport;
- The provision of recreational facilities, or the organisation of recreational activities, with the object of improving conditions of life for the persons for whom the facilities or activities are primarily intended; and/or
- The relief of those in need by reason of age, ill-health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage.
