The Paristamen Charity - Blue Sky Collaborative Grants
Details
For the Paristamen Blue Sky grant 2026, the theme is "Christian Engagement with Asylum Seekers and Refugees in Scotland".
A grant of up to £25,000 to enable a charity to do something as a significant one-off initiative or as a pilot – maybe something unusual or controversial would be unattractive to traditional funders.
Some of Paristamen's grants under (a) are specifically concerned with Christian outreach or Christian social action but most of their grants are made under (b) to support a wide range of charitable work. They have a particular interest in human rights issues and work with communities such as asylum seekers, prisoners and other under-served groups. For this final Blue Sky Grant, Paristamen are looking to combine both of these objects. They are aware of many projects established by churches to support asylum seekers and refugees in their own communities, particularly in Scotland. But they are also conscious that some of the rhetoric against asylum seekers attempts to use Christian terminology to justify preventing asylum seekers from reaching the UK, or refusing asylum claims if they do.
Please note that the project would need to be susbtantially complete by 31 March 2027.
