Dundee City Council - The UK Shared Prosperity Fund
Details
The UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF) is a UK-wide fund launched as a domestic replacement to the EU Structural and Investment Funds (ESIF). It is a core component of the UK Government’s Levelling Up agenda.
The funding will be targeted at the three following priority areas:
- Communities and Place - Thriving Places: Development of the visitor economy and improving well-being.
- Supporting Local Business: Advice and support to businesses, developing an enterprise culture and start-up support and developing business sites and premises.
- People and Skills: Supporting people to progress towards and into employment or education, supporting essential skills and delivering higher level, employment related skills.
Current funds are:
- Development of the Visitor Economy challenge fund
- Youth Diversionary Activities challenge fund
- Employment Related Skills (Green and Digital Skills) challenge fund
- SME Support and Upskilling challenge fund
- Adult Numeracy Programme challenge fund

Who can apply
Applications are welcome from all organisations in principle. Organisations must be appropriately constituted, partnership agreement/Memorandum of Understanding/Statement of Purpose and have a bank account.
When to apply
- Development of the Visitor Economy challenge fund: currently closed.
- Youth Diversionary Activities challenge fund: closes at 12pm on Friday 6 June.
- Employment Related Skills (Green and Digital Skills) challenge fund: closes at 12pm on Friday 13 June.
- SME Support and Upskilling challenge fund: closes at 12pm on Friday 13 June.
- Adult Numeracy Programme challenge fund: closes at 12pm on Friday 13 June.

How to apply
Applicants should: 1. Send an email to externalfunding@dundeecity.gov.uk with the name of the applicant organisation, project name, and approximate funding request. 2. Read both the challenge fund general guidance and intervention specific guidance. 3. Complete the application form via the UKSPF Dundee online portal.
