Falkirk Council - Community Growing Grants

Details

Falkirk Council’s Community Growing team is offering small grants to help communities buy eco-friendly seeds, plants, soil, peat-free compost and garden tools and gloves, to grow community gardens (whether for flowers, or fruit and vegetables).

The aim of the grants are to make gardening and growing spaces accessible to everyone, without risk to wildlife or the climate, given the often higher cost of buying eco-friendly products. The grants are open to community groups and organisations, with projects prioritising People, Place and Planet

Examples of resources they will fund include:

  • Peat-free compost
  • Organic vegetable seeds and plants
  • Peat-free plants
  • FSC-certified timber products
  • Reusable products or items made out of recycled material
