Inspiring Scotland - Creative Communities Glasgow
Summary
Creative Communities Glasgow aims to support and empower communities to develop cultural activities. The programme will distribute funds to community organisations located within Glasgow Local Authority area to develop initiatives involving culture and creative arts and is focused on community who face barriers to engaging with cultural activities.
Projects must be led by their community and be developed and delivered with the participation of the people involved. Projects must be delivered between August 2023 and 31 March 2025.
Your project must support the UK Shared Prosperity Fund outcomes:
- Support for sport, arts, cultural, heritage and creative activities, projects and facilities and institutions
Your project may also support the outcomes:
- Funding for impactful volunteering and/or social action projects to develop social and human capital in local places
- Investment in capacity building, resilience (including climate change resilience) and infrastructure support for local civil society and community groups
In addition to the outcomes above, your project must also support at least one of these outcomes:
- Provide the opportunity for people to engage in creative arts that they would not have otherwise, have fun and feel joy and pride
- Bring people together, building connections and reducing loneliness
- Help participants develop a wide range of improved skills for life, learning and work

Who can apply
Applicants should be a not-for-profit, incorporated organisation with a ‘legal personality’.
Your organisation’s registered address must be located within Glasgow City Council area and your project must support place based communities or communities of interest in Glasgow.
