FEL Climate Hub - Seed Grants
Details
Seed grants to community organisations whose projects have one or more of the following aims:
- Making the community more aware of climate change and its effects
- Building partnerships between community groups and organisations
- Helping communities begin to develop their own innovative solutions to climate change
- Giving communities a stronger voice in advocating for climate action
- Supporting a shift to a more sustainable and fair future, with a focus on climate justice
In addition, the fund for 2024/5 will prioritise applications that:
- Are partnership-based, particularly where new or not yet constituted groups partner with an organisation who will be liable for the project’s finances
- Are from groups that are new to climate action
- Are from vulnerable groups and groups at risk of exclusion
- Support mass community participation
- Demonstrate a pathway to longer term climate actions beyond the funded period
- Demonstrate actions on sustainable travel, energy efficiency, or improving spaces for nature and biodiversity
The project costs you can use your grant to pay for include hiring venues to host events, catering, marketing and promotion, material supplies, travel costs (except flights) engagement tools, volunteer costs, training costs, research into community opinion.

Who can apply
Community councils, trusts, organisations and groups, as well as charities and Community Interest Companies in the Forth Valley or the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park area (excluding Argyll).

Applications close at 5pm on 19 August 2024.
