Scottish Council for Voluntary Organisations

The Scottish Council for Voluntary Organisations is the membership organisation for Scotland's charities, voluntary organisations and social enterprises. Charity registered in Scotland SC003558. Registered office Mansfield Traquair Centre, 15 Mansfield Place, Edinburgh EH3 6BB.

Details

The RYA Foundation seeks to promote participation in boating by those who are disadvantaged by reason of youth, age, infirmity or disability, financial hardship or social circumstances. Grants are available to organisations and groups under the following headings:

  1. Volunteer recruitment
  2. Training
  3. Provision for children and young people
  4. Equipment provision

They can fund volunteer recruitment, training, provision for children and young people, and equipment provision.

The Foundation has limited resources and the trustees are unable to approve all of the applications that they receive. They concentrate their grants on activities that will lead directly to a sustained increase in boating participation by their target population of those who are disadvantaged in life by reason of disability or other circumstances.
