Who can apply

Groups and organisations working to benefit people in the Community Council areas of Petty and Ardersier, Cawdor and West Nairnshire, Croy and Culloden Moor, and Nairn West and Suburban. Organisations do not need to be registered charities, but the aim of the funded activity must be charitable as defined by OSCR. Groups based outside the fund area may be considered on a case-by-case basis where they can show clear benefit for residents within the fund area. Applicants must meet Foundation Scotland's standard eligibility criteria.

When to apply

Small grant applications can be submitted at any time, and groups should apply well ahead of their proposed project start date. Large grants have several fixed deadlines each year, usually at the end of June, the end of September and early January, with decisions made a couple of months after each deadline.

Next deadline: 6 Jan 2027

How to apply

Applications are made online through Foundation Scotland, which administers the fund on behalf of Haventus. There are separate online forms for small and large grants. Completed applications and all supporting documents must be received by the relevant deadline. Applicants are normally expected to provide evidence of value for money, such as quotations, for the costs requested.
