The Trust makes grants to charitable organisations for the benefit of medical research, with a particular reference to research into the causes of cancer, and the care and wellbeing of animals.

The Trustees make donations to both Scottish and UK registered charities. The Trustees meet annually to make the grants and to monitor the Trust funds on an ongoing basis.
