The Dr Gavin Wallace Fellowship allows a creative organisation to host a mid-career or established writer for a year. There is £5000 funding available for a host organisation, and £24,000 for an author. This funding is to enable them to focus on new work. This part of the application process is for potential hosts to apply. Following appointment of a host organisation, they would be expected to manage the recruitment process for selecting a writer.

Who can apply

Arts, screen, creative or public sector organisations who are able to host a writer for a year.

Organisations already in receipt of Regular Funding from Creative Scotland can apply, but should discuss any intention to apply with their Lead Officer.
