This fund had the following priorities for the 2027 round of funding; your application must address at least one of the following:

  • Education, training and research: STEM and raising aspirations
  • Biodiversity and environment: environmental protection or improvement, habitat conservation, and knowledge and research
  • Art and culture: restoration, development & conservation, and cultural initiatives
  • Social action: economic security and opportunity
  • New technologies: reduce digital exclusion and improve access to essential services and opportunities

Who can apply

Registered UK charities.

Your organisation must have:

  • an active board of at least three unrelated trustees
  • been registered with one of the UK Charity Regulators for at least one full year.
  • at least one year of published accounts covering a 12-month operating period that show as received on the relevant charity regulator website
  • income in the last set of published accounts greater than £75,000 but which does not exceed £10,000,000
  • a bank account into which the funding is to be made NOT based in a restricted country (i.e. tax haven, high corruption risk or sanctioned country)
