NESTRANS - People and Place Programme
Details
The purpose of Transport Scotland’s People and Place programme is ‘to deliver place-based sustainable and active travel behaviour change projects that will support people to make more of their daily journeys by walking, wheeling, and cycling, and to bridge the gaps that exist between those journeys and the public transport network with options that are more sustainable than the motor car.'
Now seeking Expressions of Interest from partners who can work with NESTRANS to deliver a range of projects across the north east to support active and sustainable travel behaviour change.
The programme themes are:
- Behaviour change theme: Schools and Young People
- Behaviour change theme: Workplaces
- Behaviour change theme: Accessibility and Inclusion
- Underpinning theme: Capacity and Capability
- Everyday Behaviours

Who can apply
Any organisation that can fully demonstrate it has the experience, capacity, and local knowledge to deliver the specific interventions that will help achieve the overall aims of the programme.
