The Youth Reuse and Sharing Grant is a grant of up to £1,000 for projects that involve young people aged between 16 to 25 years old, to introduce a more sustainable way of buying and using products through enabling shared access, providing reusable items or finding new ways to repurpose unused items.

What can the grant be used for? All costs for materials and expenses to deliver your project. This may include but is not limited to:

• Research such as surveys and gathering insights
• Project launch event including venue hire, refreshments
• Printed and online promotional materials
• Starter pack of stock or reusable items
• Storage – racks, rails, boxes
• Visual display materials

In preparing your application, get in touch with the Waste Development Officer to discuss your ideas and the needs of your group.

The project must be completed by 31 March 2026.

Who can apply

Grants are available to constituted community groups based in - and working in - North Lanarkshire or South Lanarkshire that support young people aged between 16-25 years old.

When to apply

Applications are now open and will be reviewed monthly on the 20th of the month until all funding has been awarded.
