They primarily support projects that fall under the themes below:

• The charity or community group should primarily support one of three core pillars: Socially or Economically Disadvantaged Children, Mental Health or a Community Project.
• Community Projects should be located in the same county as one of the Focus Group offices, the locations of which can be found on their website.
• The charity or community group needs to have an annual income of less than £1m.
• Have core running costs of less than 35% (this does not include professional costs).
• The grant should be for a tangible project with clear and measurable benefits.

Who can apply

Grassroots charities. The charity or community group should primarily support one of the three core pillars. Charitable or community-based projects should be located in the same county as one of the Focus Group offices [in Scotland: Edinburgh, Glasgow, Inverness].

The charity or community group needs to have an annual income of less than £1m and have core running costs of less than 35% (this does not include professional costs).

How to apply

The first step is to complete a short ‘Expression of Interest’ form via their website (response within one month). If your project aligns with the funding objectives, you’ll be invited to submit a ‘Full Grant Application' via their online portal.
