South Lanarkshire Council - Participatory Budgeting
Details
Participatory Budgeting (PB) gives local residents a direct role in identifying priorities, making decisions, and allocating a portion of public funding. This approach has been implemented across all nine Neighbourhood Planning areas in South Lanarkshire, allowing communities to influence how money is spent in their local area.
Priorities and criteria will depend on your local area.
Funding must follow the principles: Fair and Inclusive Participatory, Deliberative, Empowering, Creative and Flexible, Transparent, and Part of our democracy.
