The Communities Mental Health and Wellbeing (CMHW) Fund for Adults aims to support community-based initiatives that promote and develop good mental health and wellbeing and/or mitigate the impact of distress and mental ill health within the adult population (aged 16 or over), with a particular focus on prevention and early intervention. Each TSI administers funding for that region.

Eligible organisations that can deliver in Inverclyde can apply for funding for initiatives which focus on:

• Projects that reduce inequalities in mental health and wellbeing, particularly for people and communities most at risk of poorer outcomes.
• Activities that reduce social isolation and loneliness by helping people build trusted relationships, confidence and community connection.
• Community-based support that contributes to prevention, early intervention, awareness, safety and timely access to appropriate help.
• Projects that respond to the impact of poverty, the cost-of-living crisis and socio-economic disadvantage on mental health and wellbeing.

Who can apply

Applications can be accepted from a range of voluntary, ‘not for profit’ organisations, associations, groups and clubs or consortiums/partnerships which have a strong community focus for their activities including:

• Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisations (SCIO)
• Companies Limited by Guarantee
• Trusts
• Community Council
• Not-for-profit company or asset locked company or Community Interest Companies (CIC)
• Cooperative and Community Benefit Societies
