Providing financial support for people experiencing hardship, distress and illness, with a focus on children, the homeless and people living in poverty.
The Wise Music Foundation was originally established in 1990 as The Music Sales Charitable Trust. Its aim has always been to help a broad range of domestic and international charitable causes, not necessarily music-related ones.
The recipients of Wise Music Foundation donations are primarily – but not exclusively – children, the elderly and the disabled.
Listing the varied fields of their past charitable activity may have the disadvantage of seeming to exclude those not mentioned as much as embracing those that are. In fact, despite familiar areas such as education, cultural activities and arts & heritage, the Foundation often helps with health issues, overseas famine relief, food banks and other worthy causes.
The Wise Music Foundation has now been donating significant sums of money for over 30 years.

When to apply
The Wise Music Foundation trustees meet on a quarterly basis, usually in the third month of each quarter, to consider all applications. Please be aware of the following deadlines:
- End of February – for applications reviewed in March
- End of May – for applications reviewed in June
- End of August – for applications reviewed in September
- End of November – for applications reviewed in December
