British Dodgeball are offering grants to support with part-funded coaching courses throughout 2026 as part of the British Dodgeball Coach Training Fund. Successful applicants will receive a 50% funding of costs for British Dodgeball Level 1 and Level 2 coaching courses and British Dodgeball coach membership for one season, enabling them to meet the minimum deployment requirements for delivering dodgeball independently in the UK.

British Dodgeball will provide this partial funding to coaches who have (or are actively setting up) a group to coach dodgeball to.

The Coach Training Fund will prioritise applications that involve the following types of people:

  • Aspiring coaches involved in setting up a new community dodgeball club*
  • Aspiring coaches involved in a recently set-up community club less than one year old*
  • Teachers, community leaders or sports coaches setting up new dodgeball activity in an existing school (e.g. afterschool club), youth club or community group**
  • Succession-planning: Aspiring coaches/staff members involved in organisations who already deliver dodgeball but are at risk of stopping this due to lack of workforce**
  • Must hold British Dodgeball club membership, or plan to become a British Dodgeball member club ** Must hold British Dodgeball associate club membership. This is available for free.

Possible target audiences might be: Adults, young people, women and girls, disabled people, ethnic minorities, socially deprived communities, less active communities

Possible planned outcomes might be: Reduce obesity, increase physical activity levels, promote active lifestyles, give new opportunities to play dodgeball, reduce social isolation

Who can apply

UK dodgeball coaches who have (or are actively setting up) a group to coach dodgeball to.

When to apply

Applications will be assessed on a rolling basis throughout 2026. Once the application form is submitted, you will receive a decision via email within three weeks.

The last accepted date of application submission is the 21st December 2026.
