A new grant fund has been created for Third sector, voluntary, SCIO, community groups, faith groups; to support projects that improve the preparedness and resilience of its community to an emergency, severe weather event or prolonged power outage.
The fund will support projects that improve the preparedness and resilience of its community to an emergency, severe weather event or prolonged power outage. Aberdeen Council particularly welcomes applications which demonstrate the following:
- A sustainable approach
- That their project connects their community
- That their project provides a solution to an identified community problem
- That partnership working is demonstrated
Priority will be given to:
- Projects which demonstrate innovative approaches to improving the resilience of vulnerable community members
- Projects from communities which have been identified as currently having low resilience
- Projects which enable a group to continue to operate its services to support vulnerable community members in an emergency, prolonged power outage or severe weather event.
- Projects which support the Local Resilience Partnership (LRPv) or the LRP would directly request support from.
- Projects which have not received other SSEN funding.

Who can apply
Third sector, voluntary, SCIO, community groups, faith groups are eligible to apply for this grant. Any not for profit group with a constitution and bank account or affiliated to one that does, where it supports individual or community resilience in an emergency, severe weather or prolonged power outage.
