Dumfries and Galloway Local Employability Partnership (LEP) - Parent Employability Innovation Fund
Details
The fund has been established to support innovative projects that help parents who are unemployed, economically inactive or on low incomes to move towards, enter, sustain and progress in employment. By supporting parents to increase household income through employment, the fund aims to contribute to wider efforts to reduce child poverty across Dumfries and Galloway.
The funders are looking for organisations with creative, evidence-based ideas that address local need and complement existing employability provision. Projects should demonstrate how they will support parents to overcome barriers to employment while responding to local labour market demand and creating positive outcomes for families.
Projects should align with the principles of No One Left Behind, providing flexible, person-centered support that is accessible, inclusive and focused on helping parents secure and sustain fair employment.
While applications can support parents across Dumfries and Galloway, proposals should consider:
- Local evidence of need.
- The six priority family groups identified within Scotland's child poverty strategy.
- Opportunities to address barriers to employment and in-work progression.
- How the proposed activity complements existing services rather than duplicates them.
