The Cairngorms 2030 Communities Fund supports individuals, community groups, organisations and local partnerships to deliver projects that benefit people, places and nature within the Cairngorms National Park.

Your project must:

• Take place within the Cairngorms National Park
• Deliver meaningful benefits for nature, local people, communities, and the National Park
• Contribute to at least one of the Cairngorms 2030 themes:
  • Restoring and enhancing landscapes
  • Empowering communities
  • Transforming transport
  • Improving health and wellbeing

The funder is particularly interested in projects that:

• Deliver community, climate and nature benefits
• Build local capacity for climate action
• Leave a lasting climate legacy
• Encourage participation in climate and nature projects
• Share the benefits of climate action widely
• Support the ambitions of Cairngorms 2030.

When to apply

The fund is split into three tiers: Small, Medium and Large.

Small grants are open on a rolling basis until the money is all allocated. They aim to provide decisions within 21 days.

Decisions will be made on Medium and Large grants at set times between December 2026 and September 2028.
