Glasgow Climate Action Hub - Adaptation Grants
Details
The Glasgow Climate Action Hub with support from Foundation Scotland are making funding available for projects in Glasgow to be delivered between November 2026 and June 2027.
Adaptation is anything that makes communities more resilient and able to cope with these changes. The simplest example of adaption is planting trees. If it’s done right, they can provide shade in the summer and help reduce flooding after storms.

Who can apply
Communities and community groups in Glasgow wishing to deliver climate adaptation projects. Projects can be on the applicant's own land or premises, but should benefit the wider community. Collaborations are preferred, or at least buy-in from other community groups or the local authority before a proposal is drafted.
When to apply
This is a single application round with two stages: an introductory session, followed by a period in which interested groups draft a proposal. The introductory session has already taken place. Groups that could not attend are advised to contact the funder as soon as possible, as they may be helped. Funded projects are to be delivered between November 2026 and June 2027.
Next deadline: 19 Nov 2026
How to apply
The application process is slightly different from usual and has two stages. It starts with a 2-hour intro session run by Verture (who operate the Adaptation Scotland programme), which gives an overview of adaptation, where it sits within climate action, and the Community Climate Adaptation Routemap. This is followed by a Q&A session where groups can discuss their ideas and ask questions to help refine them. A fully formed project is not needed at the session, but a rough idea is expected.
Groups then draft a proposal for a project that would work in their community. The proposal asks about the specific climate challenges faced, the future risks if the project is not funded, the lessons it offers other communities, and how it will remain relevant over time. Successful applicants receive ongoing support from Verture and the Climate Action Hub for the duration of the project.
