The trust gives grants to organisations which deal specifically with the care and assistance of children. It supports:
- poor children from Glasgow or other districts of Scotland who are in need of convalescent treatment for sickness or disability
- rehabilitation, recreation or education for children convalescing or still suffering from the effects of illness, injury or disability
- accommodation or facilities for children who are in need of care or assistance.

When to apply
The trustees meet twice a year to consider applications. Applications should be submitted by 1 February and 1 September each year.
