The Trust’s charitable purposes are the advancement of the arts, heritage, culture or science, the provision of recreational facilities, the advancement of citizenship and community development and the advancement of environmental protection or improvement.
The trustees main focus is on protecting and enhancing green spaces in and around Edinburgh, Scotland and beyond. In particular they wish to support projects that enhance the public's enjoyment and appreciation of green spaces including the horticultural and aesthetic enhancement of green spaces.
The trustees are keen to support organisations that might have difficulties in obtaining public funding from other sources.

When to apply
You can apply throughout the year. However, the deadline for annual donations is usually 31 March each year. The Trustees tend to meet during the course of the Summer to consider all applications.
