The Trust gives grants to registered charities that work in the UK. They focus on specific priorities every year.

For 2026: Grant rounds 1 and 2: People experiencing or at risk of homelessness.

Focussing on projects that provide life skills, including food education, healthy living and budgeting.
Priority will be given to people leaving the armed forces, leaving prison or care.

Grant rounds 3 and 4: Unpaid carers

Projects that provide therapeutic support, including healthy eating and outdoor activities.
To be eligible, a project must focus exclusively on unpaid adult (18 or over) carers as its beneficiaries, without extending services to other groups.

Who can apply

They only award grants to organisations registered with the Charity Commission or OSCR, or exempt from registration.

In grant rounds 1 and 3, the minimum annual income and expenditure is £100,000 and the maximum is £1m.

In grant rounds 2 and 4, the minimum income and expenditure is £1m with no maximum.

When to apply

Currently closed to applications. They have four grant rounds per year. The dates for the remaining 2026 rounds are now closed. The following dates apply for 2027

Grant Round 1: 1- 28 Feb
Grant Round 2: 1 - 30 April
Grant Round 3: 1 - 31 July
Grant Round 4: 1 - 30 September
