Grants are restricted to Scottish charities carrying out work with the elderly, young people, ex-service personnel and seafarers. Priority is given to charities largely administered by voluntary or honorary officials.

Who can apply

Schemes of the Church of Scotland and charities run principally by volunteers. If you are a CIC you must be registered with Companies House and have an asset lock before being eligible to apply.

Please note that the Trust does not consider applications from organisations with an annual income, or reserves, of more than £250,000. This is a soft limit and applications will still be considered if your income is between £250,000 to £270,000.

We would expect organisations to hold unrestricted reserves of between 3 and 6 months expenditure, and should explain if that is not the case.

How to apply

Application forms must be requested from the Secretary and be submitted by email to the Secretary. Please check your project's eligibility before applying, and ensure that you include all of the information requested on the application form, including your accounts.
