Details

The monetary awards are split into four categories: Cromar, Alastrean, Douneside and Lady MacRobert. Each one has its own specific governance arrangements and internal processes. Check the funder website for full criteria and eligibility. Lady MacRobert awards are currently closed.

Funding is UK-wide although a preference is given to Scotland. Themes supported are: Armed Forces & good citizenship; General education; Agriculture & sustainability; Arts, science & engineering; Local community inc. Tarland, Douneside & Local Area.

When to apply

Deadlines depend on the funding programme:

  • Cromar awards are reviewed on a monthly basis.
  • Alastrean awards are reviewed between four and six times per year.
  • Douneside awards are reviewed twice a year in May and November. Upcoming deadlines are 31 January 2025 for the May 2025 meeting.
