Summary

Free orchard tree and hedgerow packs to inspire teachers and pupils across the country to get outdoors to connect, learn about, plant and care for trees. In total, each school can order one fruit tree pack, one hedgerow pack or both.

Schools will also receive a set of supporting resources and training opportunities, designed by teachers, that are linked to the national curriculum.

Who can apply

Orchard tree and hedgerow packs are available to all schools in England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. All nurseries, primary, secondary and special schools both dependent and independent are eligible to apply.

Other community organisations are not currently eligible, however they may make an application for tree project support through the Branching Out fund.

When to apply

Apply as soon as possible. The deadline for applications is 5pm on 10 February 2023 (or until the remaining stock is cleared).
