Weavers Benevolent Fund
Details
The Weavers' Company Benevolent Fund supports people in trouble, particularly offenders, ex-offenders and young people involved in the Criminal Justice System. There is a preference for pump-priming new and innovative projects that could serve as a model for similar work elsewhere. Applicants must show they have investigated other sources of funding and made plans for future funding.
Their priorities are:
- supporting offenders and ex-offenders into work by building skills and capability for sustainable employment
- helping specific groups within the criminal justice sector that are less popular with other funders
- supporting young people already involved in the Criminal Justice System to realise their full potential and participate fully in society, rather than general youth development projects
The funder runs a Small Grants Programme and a Main Grants Programme, which have different application processes.
