The Trust supports charitable causes which promote education and the practice, enjoyment and appreciation of the musical and pictorial arts in Scotland. The trustees aim to support activities that provide wide public benefit in pursuance of these purposes. The Trust's main areas of support are Northeast Fife and surrounding areas, Dundee and Angus, and applications from these areas are prioritised.

The Trustees meet twice a year, usually in May and December. Applications should be sent no later than mid-April and mid-November for consideration at the next Trustee meeting.
