Details

The Trust has a specifically Christian focus and most grants are made to or through faith-based organisations. The Trustees' priority areas of giving are:

  • making the Christian message accessible to all through innovative ‘fresh expressions’ of church and pioneer ministries
  • To support organisations offering practical support to those in the U.K. who are disadvantaged, vulnerable and / or socially isolated with a particular emphasis on families and young people at risk; prisoners and ex-offenders, particularly women in the justice system; the homeless; and refugees
  • Relief of poverty overseas, predominantly through Christian organisations working in the low income countries of Sub-Saharan Africa.

How to apply

The Laing Family Trusts are run on a co-ordinated basis. This means that you do not need to make multiple applications to the individual Trusts; your application will automatically be directed to the most appropriate of the four Trusts.

There is no pro-forma application form but they ask applicants to download and complete an application cover sheet, which is available on completion of an eligibility quiz via the Trust's website.
